Chrome River Non-Travel

This Chrome River Non-Travel implementation does not affect any pre-existing guidelines on P-Card/T-Card transactions. This is purely a process change, transitioning away from Bank of America Works and to Chrome River for P-Card transactions, Honorariums, Independent Contractors, and Reimbursements. Process Changes

Important Things to Know

  • This will not affect your physical P-Card or T-Card.
  • This does not affect any Travel processes or policies, which are still overseen by Catherine Mallon and the Travel Office.
    • Pre-approvals should still be completed and approved before any travel can be booked or incurred, but are not required for any Non-Travel transactions.
  • If you do not see a vendor in Chrome River, please send the vendors completed W-9 to the Purchasing Office at purchasing@unca.edu (this only applies to Non-Travel).
  • This process change does not impact the required approval process for Independent Contractor (IC) Agreements.
  • Credit card items within your Chrome River e-Wallet:
    • BoA P-Card Visa: P-Card transaction
    • Visa Travel: T-Card transaction
  • All approvals route through the fund manager within Chrome River.
    • P-Card: Purchaser -> Fund Manager -> P-Card Administrator
    • All Other Non-Travel Report Types: Requestor -> Fund Manager -> Business Services Manager
  • To add a delegate or approval delegate, see Page 10 & 11 in CR Non-Travel Implementation Overview
    • The term ‘delegate’ is the same as a ‘reconciler’ in Bank of America Works.
